The Diploma of “Applied Physical Geography” should convey an interdisciplinary understanding for the earth´s geographical system, particularly for the land forming processes of the earth´s surface, the structure, function and dynamics of the natural environment and its usage by the human population. The student should then be able to convey their understanding of the multi-layered tasks of physical geography to a specific area. The aim of the course is amongst other things to develop and manage an enduring usage of the earth´s biosphere.
